Every injector is flow rated on manufacture and this determines its injector ID coding number.
Common Rail Diesel wont run.
First things to check when trying to start common rail diesel engine.
- Check there is diesel in the tank
- Check oil
- Check Brake lights work OK / for voltage drop
- Check fuel pressure regulator in the end of the rail
- Check leak off test for injectors
- Check pump pressure
- Check No grey in bottom of fuel filter
- Check cam sensor / crank sensor
- Check cylinder head temp sender
- Check in the trouble shooter in the scanner on EOBD it will check the injection pump pressure.
What does a lab scope do?
When the lab scope in a system like mo-dis gathers electrical signals from a vehicle, it firstly displays the electrical source signal generated by the sensor or ECU of the circuit under test over a period of time. The signal trace displayed can be described as a pictorial representation of the voltage being measured, showing the signal both as it is now and as it was in the recent past. This is distinctly different to measuring voltage with a voltmeter, which only displays a digital value at brief moments in time.If the signal is changing very fast, a voltmeter will usually average the signal and display a voltage somewhere between the lowest and highest actual value. if the signal is.Changing more slower the volt meter displays will change continuously making it impossible to read accurately.
